Pushing boundaries with change marketing and communication at FPS Justice.

Successfully completing a large-scale digital transformation project is no easy task. A technical plan alone is not enough, and a vision without action is just a daydream.

Successfully transforming the Federal Public Service (FPS) Justice requires more than a technical plan—it demands a vision coupled with action. Recognizing this, FPS Justice collaborated with Restless Minds to develop a vision for the future of justice. This vision evolved into an ambitious change plan outlining formation can help realize this vision and shape tomorrow's Justice.

As a marketing professional, I know all too well how the desire for new things is manipulated. We use sophisticated techniques to create awareness, build excitement, and drive sales. We tell stories that appeal to our emotions and our deepest desires. We create a sense of urgency, making people feel like they're missing out if they don't buy now. But what if we could use these same techniques for a higher purpose? What if we could use marketing to drive positive change in our organizations?

The FPS Justice stands at the crossroads of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. The FPS is responsible for organizing the judicial system, drafting laws, managing prisons, and much more. To manage all these tasks, FPS Justice brings together around 24,000 employees, divided into three main groups: prison staff, administration, and judiciary. Despite their crucial role, they still need to work 100% digitally. A major digitization project has been launched to change this. In addition to the technological aspect of this transition, there is a strong focus on change management and communication to ensure that employees not only embrace the new systems but also the changes that come with them.

An Efficient Tandem

Competence center Restless Minds took care of the change communication of this transformation. After all, more than a technical plan was needed to bring such a large-scale project to a successful conclusion. The transformation also had to be supported by all layers of the organization. This can only be achieved by engaging in physical and digital dialogue and communicating openly about all changes. By involving employees from the first to the last step of the process, identifying their needs, and actively involving them in the change story, Restless Minds has developed a strategy that emphasizes the importance of change and strengthens confidence in Justice.

From the beginning, we were on the same wavelength, and Restless Minds understood exactly what we wanted to achieve. The tone of voice was immediately right and completely aligned with that of Justice.

Everyone on Board

In addition to the digital platforms, physical change communication was also considered. A detailed roadmap of the transformation process can be viewed physically in the 80 largest courthouses in the country. In addition, 12,000 FPS Justice employees received a paper newspaper at home with an overview of the transformation process's future course and the associated milestones, activities, and plans.

One of those activities took place in April. Cronos Public Services then organized the large-scale digital 'Everyone On Board' event to increase employee engagement and knowledge about digitization. At least 2007 employees participated to learn more about the changes, share their ideas and concerns, and gain ideas in various inspiration sessions. The competence center Thola developed the digital event from A to Z, from the interactive lobby to the beautiful design. Restless Minds filled the event with content and ensured everything was organized smoothly.-

By organizing a digital event, you remove barriers and reach everyone in an accessible and simple way.

Restless Minds and Cronos Public Services and FPS Justice continue to work to make the digital transformation a success story. By concretizing the vision of digitization and really listening to the employees, they succeed in doing what has not been possible in the past: setting up a digitization process that everyone can agree on.

Do you also have major change plans or a digitization process ahead of you? Restless Minds and Cronos Public Services will develop a strategy with you and support you in its implementation and coordination so that your employees are immediately convinced and entirely on board.
